About the memorial: Copper plaque, with crossed picks at the top and a border of oak leaves and acorns, on a stone backboard. Stated by the IWM Register entry to be outside the disused north entrance of the Church. Peterborough St John the Baptist Church. However, close examination of the church on google street view shows no sign of the memorial or of any structure resembling the pointed archway at the corner of the building shown in the IWM photos. A site visit is required.
