About the memorial: To provide and place a memorial tablet on the west side of the south door of the Parish Church of Edenham in memory of the parishioners who lost their lives in the Great War. That the said memorial tablet is to be of white and green marble and is to about seven feet by about three feet six inches to four feet with the following inscription thereon, namely: Faculty Book 14, page 66 (Lincolnshire Archives) To provide and place immediately below the existing War Memorial on the South Wall near the Font a tablet of White Marble, surrounded by a margin of Silicate Marble, about 41” by about 6” with the following inscription thereon Approved at a meeting of the Parochial Church Council of Edenham held on the 12th August 1946. Seal affixed 9th December 1946. Faculty Book 20.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.
