About the memorial: This is the original WW1 grave marker for 2nd Lieutenant John Bernard Pye Adams 1st Bn. Royal Welch Fusiliers it is now attached to the wall of the churchyard but is open to the elements and damage. His uncle was William Pye who lived in Cobham village and hence the reason why the cross has ended up here.
