About the memorial: Bathing area with a memorial stone, on the banks of the Thames, opposite Windsor Racecourse. Presented by Hiatt C. Baker to Eton College in memory of his son. John Lionel Baker, 17, was a pupil at Eton. He was learning to fly in order to enlist in the RFC, but was killed in a flying accident, 27 August 1917. His instructor was also killed, Captain Charles Butler (TS61) from South Carlton in DH4 (A.2147).

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
