About the memorial: Oak 'Chancel Set', Pulpit and Lectern. Just about qualifies as a war memorial. He left the regular army in 1909 but commanded the Royal Garrison Artillery at Leith Fort at the time of his death aged 45. The SWMP entry also includes a photo of a plaque to Lt Col Milne-Home's brother, Major Archibald M-H, who drowned on his wat to Africa in 1924. The IWM counts this as a war memorial but WMO does not as it was a non-combat peacetime death.
