About the memorial: To provide and place on the west wall of the nave a memorial tablet in memory of the men of St John the Divine Church who lost their lives in the Great War, that the said memorial tablet is to be of Alabaster and about four feet by about two feet six inches and is to bear the following inscription:- "To the Glory of God and in grateful memory of the men of this church who died in the Great War 1914-19 (here follows a list of fifty names in three columns) Grant them O Lord eternal rest Faculty Book 14 page 15 Tablet with black roman lettering in gold in the south aisle of the nave measuring 1105mm (3 feet 7.5 inches) high by 1130 (3 feet 8.5 inches) wide Framed illuminated Roll of Honour on West wall of Nave, in script lettering. Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.
