About the memorial: Memorial to Major Edward John Cumming, 120th Rajputana Infantry, Indian Army. Son of Anthony Edward and Agnes Mary Cumming. Husband of Myriam Annie McIntosh Ray (formerly Cumming, nee Fraser). Married on 19 Aug 1912 in Karachi, Bombay, India (now Pakistan). Educated at Bedford School. Gentleman Cadet at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Commissioned into the Indian Army. Promoted to Lieutenant 18 Nov 1906. Apointed Acting Major as Second in Command of his Battalion 16 Apr 1917-9 May 1917 and again on 10 Nov 1917. Died aged 34 years in Fort Niriz, Persia (Neyriz, Fars Province, Iran). Buried in grave 65.35196 in West Norwood Cemetery and Crematorium, West Norwood, London. Also commemorated in Bedford school chapel.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
