About the memorial: Blue marble stone with each end cut as flat topped rectangular slab running front to rear and joined at their bases by vertical slab of same material to form U shape. Running lengthwise between the two end pieces is a triangular section of same material with apex uppermost and inscribed self-coloured primary dedication lettering to front face. Outer face of right end piece similarly inscribed with secondary dedication. Marble stands on unadorned horizontal rectangle of grey stone and the whole rests on chamfered base stone.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
