About the memorial: Memorial to Lieutenant Herbert Charles Chads, 1st Battalion the North Staffordshire Regiment. Son of Major Harry Campbell Chads and Eugenie Constance Chads, of 91 Ashley Gardens, Westminster, London (lived at Delafield, Iver, Bucks at the time of their sons death). Educated at Cheltenham College. Played cricket for Iver cricket club. Gentleman Cadet at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst 1913-14. Commissioned into the North Staffordshire Regiment 25 Feb 1914. Killed in action in France aged 20 years. Buried in grave A.1. of Chapelle D'Armentieres Old Military Cemetery, La Chapelle-d'Armentieres, Departement du Nord, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France. He is also commemorated on the Iver WarMemorial, St Peter's Church, Iver, Buckinghamshire.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
