Married 1888 ( July- September) Grantham nee Francis Naden.
Census 1901 - Isaac Winfield age 9 Years, Father William 34, labourer.
Census 1911 - Isaac Winfield 18, labourer in foundry, Father William 44, carter and contractor, living, 1, Blue Ram Yard, Guildhall Street, Grantham.
Service record. Isaac Winfield signed on 20th October 1915 at the age of 23 years, and 157 days. A farm assistant.
His Mother Francis Winfield died 24th February 1937 age 70 Grantham. Probate - Winduss  Francis of the Blue Ram Inn, Westgate , Grantham, widow to Louis Frederick Millhouse Auctioneer effects £ 985-18s

	Mrs Winfield, of Blue Ram Yard, has received the following letter: “Gear Mrs Winfield. You will no doubt have heard by now about the death from wounds of your son Lance Corporal  Winfield. After the advance on the 20th ult. I went forward to find a new aid post, tajing one man and a little material, and leaving your son in charge of the medical stores to come up later when the first case went down. He did not appear, and I found out afterwards’ that shortly after I left he was hit in the leg by a splinter of shell. I did not get the chance of seeing him myself, and on the 24th I heard that he had died from wounds. Your son was a very great help to me at all times since I became Medical Officer to this Battalion. He was efficient, and did his work in charge of the aid post very well indeed, and was just the man to have with me in every emergency. He was also of a very cheerful disposition    I sending you my sympathy. I feel that I myself have lost a very willing and useful helper, whom I scarcely now how to replace Yours Sincerely Lawrence W. Bain, Captain. R.A.M.C. Mrs Winfield also received a sympathetic letter from a nurse in the hospital to which he was taken. He had been abroad two years, joining the K.R.R.C. shortly after the outbreak of war. He was employed at an army canteen locally, and prior to that Messrs. R. Hornsby and Sons. He was in his 27th year. Mrs Winfield has two other sons serving.
