About the memorial: A paper Roll of Honour in 3 panels, in an overall glazed, wooden frame. The central panel is the dedication/names panel, the 2 outer panels have photographs of the fallen. It is unclear where this was originally, as the village had a Public Hall, opened in 1921 using a wooden hut from the former Stobs Camp- this was later used as a Reading Room, but no longer exists. There was also a Hall for the Comrades of the Great war. Both were demolished many years ago and replaced with the current Village Hall.
