About the memorial: Memorial to Captain Ian Bruce Deas Dewar, 2nd Battalion, 17th Dogra Regiment and Wing Commander the South Waziristan Scouts. Eldest son of David Deas Dewar and Agnes Dickson Hill. Gentleman Cadet at the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. Commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant into the Indian Army 16 Jul 1920. Promoted to Captain 16 Jul 1927. Attached to the 38th Dogras 3 Dec 1921. Killed in action at Dargai Sar, near Jandola, Waziristan, N.W.E.P., India. Also commemorated on a memorial plaque in St Bride's Episcopal Church, North Ballachulish in the Scottish Highlands (also plaques to his parents and brother Ewan Charles Malise Deas Dewar).

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
