About the memorial: Base, shaft and wheel cross. Inscription on one side of the plinth. Bosses and emblems of the Trinity on west face of cross. Figure of Christ in glory on east face of cross seated on clouds under a canopy with angels at his feet. St Mary and St John in central position. Virgin and Child at lower level.
