About the memorial: Gravespace delineated by headstone and three square kerb sections with checked post to each bottom corner, square vase with container within space which is capped and gravel covered. Headstone is square topped with small checks and falls to straight sides, decorative vertical fluting to each side drop virtually entire height of stone, small horizontal rectangles above are recessed and show rose flower and branch decoration. Dedication to centre in black lead lettering, now partially missing

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

BEMROSE Ernest Edward. Sergeant (Air Gunner) 1596002, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. 90 Squadron. Died 3rd February 1945, aged 20 years. Son of George Willie and Charlotte Elizabeth Bemrose of Wrawby, Lincs. Buried Rheinberg War Cemetery. Coll Grave 3.J.3-7.
