About the memorial: To provide and place a Memorial Tablet on the South wall of the nave of the Parish Church of Irnham in memory of the parishioners who lost their lives in the Great War. That the said memorial is to be of bronze and about thirty six inches by about twenty four inches and it bears the following inscription thereon namely "To the Glory of God and in memory of the men of this parish who fell in the Great War 1914 – 1919" (here follows the names of eight men with names of Regiments) Excerpt from Faculty Book 14, page 104. Mentioned in "History of the Parishes of Irnham and Corby" Following WW2 a small broze plaque was erected directly beneath the WW1 plaque containing one name.
