About the memorial: Erected on the west wall of the nave towards the south side is Two wall mounted horizontal rectangular metal plaques attached to single wooden backboard. Ornate wooden cross attached to top centre of board. Large upper plaque relates to WW1 and has two slim lines around edges framing centre section, which has first two lines of dedication in oval shape above and below a centrally placed Union flag. Remainder of dedication below oval shape and lettering in mixture of red and black. Names follow in four columns with prayer beneath and this lettering in black. Below large plaque is a much smaller one which shows the dates of WW2 and a single name in a continuous line of black lettering with a single slim black line around all edges framing same., 700mm high, 880mm wide and 30mm deep, with an additional 250mm height for cross.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.
