The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

PARISH OF MELDRETH/ HONOUR THE FALLEN IN TWO WARS/ 1914 - 1918/ (Names)/ 1939 -1 945/ (Names)/ ON SATURDAY THE TWENTY-FIRST OF OCTOBER 1950 THE TREBLE BELL IN THE TOWER OF THIS PARISH CHURCH WAS DEDICATED BY THE ARCHDEACON OF ELY, THE VENERABLE H. F. KIRKPATRICK, M.A., TO THE GLORY OF GOD, FOR THE USE OF HIS CHURCH, AND IN PROUD MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO IN TWO WORLD WARS GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR KING AND THEIR FELLOW MEN. THE BELL BEARS THE INSCRIPTION "HONOUR THE FALLEN IN TWO WARS 1914-1918 AND 1939-1945"; IT WEIGHS 4 CWT. 2GRS. 271LBS: AND WAS CAST BY MEARS & STAINBANK AT THE WHITECHAPEL FOUNDRY. TOWARDS ITS COST THE SUM OF £125 CAME FROM A BEQUEST BY THE LATE GEORGE S. W. WEBB, ESQUIRE, M.A., OF MELDRETH MANOR, AND THE REMAINDER WAS SUBSCRIBED BY THE PEOPLE OF THIS PARISH. F.
