About the memorial: The entry for this memorial previously stated that the memorial was in private hands. However, the IWM Register clearly places it in St Barnabas Church. It may be that the memorial was cared for by the person named below after St Mary's Church was closed, but has subsequently been moved to St Barnabas. The Roll is in a wooden frame 500mm wide, 645mm high and 25mm thick. The paper that the Roll is made of is not in good condition, having been damaged by water and possibly silver fish. It's still quite easy to read. Some patches have been added below 'For King and Country'. There are five columns of names, with the centre column recording the names of those who died 'Our Glorious Dead.' A green decorative leaf pattern surrounds the Roll. Custodian/ Responsibility for Maintenance:Roger Frankish - local historian in Barnetby and author of the book 'The Barnetby Boys'
