About the memorial: Church no longer in use as such. Description, location and condition of memorial unknown. Note that the United Free Church and the Church of Scotland re-unified in 1929 when this building became Church of Scotland. Unveiled 20 August 1922 by Colonel A. F. Mackenzie, M.V.O., C.M.G. of Ord, Dedicated by Rev. K. Mackenzie, B.D.- see Aberdeen Press and Journal - Tuesday 22 August 1922-FORTROSE MEMORIAL TABLET-. The tablet erected to the men of Fortrose United Free Church who fell in the war was unveiled on Sunday. An impressive service was conducted by the Rev. K. Maclennan. B.D., after which Colonel A. F. MacKenzie. M.V.0., C.M.G., of Ord, performed the unveiling ceremony. The names of the fallen were then read, and the Last Post" was sounded by" buglers.
