About the memorial: Memorial tablet of white marble on dove grey marble and about four feet six inches by about three feet. To be erected at the west end of the south wall of the nave of the Parish Church of St. Paul. Faculty Book 14, page 129 On Sunday the 20th February the war memorial erected on the wall to the right of the font, was unveiled by Lieutenant Colonel Royds M.P., and dedicated by the Reverend Canon John Kaye. The memorial takes the form of a white marble tablet with black boarder, with oblong base with a semi circular extension at the top on which is engraved a laurel wreath round a cross under which is the following inscription:
