About the memorial: In the centre of the chapel is a large wooden cabinet with glass lights containing the Roll of Honour books for World War 1 and World War 2. The main cabinet for World War 2 is 870mm by 570mm. The book within it measures 440mm by 400mm, and contains names in alphabetical order on one side of the page only. The cabinet measures 1090mm tall, and is also 410mm in depth. Beneath this cabinet is one containing the Roll of Honour for the Lincolnshire Regiment for World War 1. The book measures 330mm by 360mm. The cabinet was given to the cathedral by the family of Richard Henry George Wilson, Lieut. Colonel, Lincolnshire Regiment who died 10th July, 1944.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
