About the memorial: Cemetery entrance; Lych gate with stone panel mounted inside. The Lych Gate is at the Higher Mill Lane entrance to the cemetery as opposed to the entrance from the Abbey Car Park. It is on the left hand wall of the lychgate as you enter. There is one gravestone commemoration about half way up the Cemetery close to the Higher Mill Lane boundary wall but the inscription was too weathered, even on a dull day, to read it.
