About the memorial: Stone Tablet with gold inscribed lettering. The tablet is surmounted by a coat of arms with 5 guns of varying types and calibres symmetrically protruding from each side. The memorial scheme included the repaving of the chancel.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

The Chancel of this Church was repaved/and rearranged in 1948 to the memory of/DAVID FRANCIS WYNDHAM/Lieutenant King's Royal Rifle Corps/Born 13th December 1922, elder son of/Colonel the Hon. Humphrey Wyndham MC/of Caversfield, Bicester and Ruth his wife/He fought with his Regiment in the 8th/Army from Tripoli to the end of the/campaign in Tunisia in May 1942 and/subsequently in Italy. He was killed in/Normandy at the battle of the Falaise Gap/on the 16th August 1944 while serving/with his Regiment in the 2nd Army
