About the memorial: Purchased and installed by public donation in 1921 as a First World War memorial. Circular clock attached to church tower with gilt hands and roman numerals. In church tower there is a dedicatory plaque with lettering in black with initial letters in red. Clock is by John Smith & Sons of Derby .

The clock was placed in the tower of the church by public subscription Easter 1921 in memory of the men of the village who fell in the Great War 1914 - 1919
