About the memorial: Book of Remembrance made from parchment in a blue leather binding, in a glazed wooden case which lists the 434 men of the parish who served in WW2, on the south wall. The + notation marking those who fell is enclosed in a circle. Those names are notated alphabetically throughout the book, and repeated on two dedicated pages at the end of the book. The Moresby Mission referred to in the Dedication was the 'tin Church' up the hill in Moresby Parks Village- now closed-their Memorial is WMO/169323. William Chisholm (the 1946 casualty) is buried in a war grave in the Churchyard. The Burial Register states that he was from 5 Garfield Place, Parton and had died at Edinburgh Military Hospital.
