About the memorial: Stained glass window memorial to Lieutenant George Lockwood Dorman,3rd Battalion the (Princess of Wales's Own) Yorkshire Regiment. Son of Sir Arthur Dorman and Clara Dorman (nee Lockwood). Educated at Eton College. Commissioned into his regiment in Jan 1900. Promoted Lieutenant in Dec 1900. He deployed with his battalion to South Africa for the Second Anglo Boer War in Feb 1900. Served with it in the Cape and Orange Free State. He died of enteric fever (typhoid) at Kroonstad 30 Mar 1901.
