About the memorial: Nowy headed metal plaque with moulded border. Additional rectangular WW2 metal plaque attached below it. Inscription in relief on both the plaques. Wreath cast in relief at the top centre of the WW1 plaque. Rose shaped bosses placed equidistantly around the moulded borders. WW2 is a simple bronze plaque. Originally in Charlotte Street Church until closure in 1976. St George's closed in 2013. The WW1 Plaque was on the wall to the left of the organ at Charlotte Street. It was unveiled on 5 November 1922 by The Mayor of Carlisle. Refer to The Carlisle Journal 7 November 1922 page 3c-d for a photograph and page 5b for the unveiling report. At St George's it was in the Vestibule.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
