About the memorial: This plaque was originally attached to an Oak Communion Table at St Olaf's Church- when the Church was closed and united with St Ringan's Church before WW2 the table was no longer needed and was reverently disposed of. But this Brass dedication plaque on it was removed to St Ringan's. After the closure of St Ringan's that Church became Lerwick Library. The table is a separate report (WMO/273018). Unveiled by Mrs A Campbell of King Harald Street, Dedicated 14 August 1921 by Dr Wilcock, Minister of St Ringans Church

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
