About the memorial: Hand drawn roll of honour mounted in a picture frame. There are two pillars drawn on either side of the roll, with a drawing of the Institute building set within the pediment. The inscription is written within the pillars. The roll of honour was found in the basement of the school. after some repair it was again displayed in the school in 2008, at it's original site off Lover's Loan, Lerwick- the school having been renamed from Institute to High School in the intervening years. The School relocated in 2018, the new site is on the north shore of Clickminin Loch
