About the memorial: Brass plaque of basically oblong shape, with long sides vertical and half moon shaped addition to shorter top side. Surrounded by oblong of light green material, possibly stone. Regimental badge occupies half moon shape and extends into plaque. Edges of oblong have flower and leaf decoration, which extends above badge does not around lower half of badge and all inscribed lettering is in black.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

Erected to the memory of Lt M.E. Fane by the officers 3rd Bn Rifle Brigade who served with him at Gibraltar from 17th Febry 1885 to 14th March 1886 during which short time he gained the esteem and affection of them all. Born 29th Decr 1863. Died 14th March 1886.
