About the memorial: This is described as a "strong High Victorian design of crocketed gable over a trefoil supported on pairs of detached columns". Churchmouse Square white slab with black lettering, slab surrounded by black border. Beneath this is a sill of pink marbled stone extending beyond the width of the slab, while beneath this there is a figure of an white angel to each end supporting the sill. There is pink stone to each side of the slab, together with 2 pillars fronting the stone and the innermost of these is green while the outermost is black. These pillars support a triangular canopy of pink stone, the apex being uppermost. Sunk into this canopy, and immediately above the slab, is a coat of arms bearing the motto 'Ne Ville Fano' or 'Neville Fano' , and there is a medal inscribed to each side of the arms. There is a Maltese Cross inscribed immediately above . There are 2 white angels, one to either side of the memorial at each end of the base of the triangle of the canopy. There are several small decorative elements set into the pink stone, including one at each end of the lines comprising the cross. Atop the monument (at its apex) is a small white element which is possibly a depiction of feathers, each of the top sides of the triangular canopy has decorative mouldings mounted upon them.
