About the memorial: Addition to family gravestone. From the lost bombers site- Wellington HZ412 Information, Squadron 192, X1D DT-U, Operation Special Duties, 23-24 June 1943, Further Information- "Serial Range HZ394 - HZ439. 46 Wellington Mk.X. HZ102-HZ981 (513); JA104-JA645 (337). 850 Mk.111/X/X1/X111 delivered by Vickers (Squires Gate) between Dec42 and Aug43. For a full list of this large batch refer to Record No.6258. airborne 2320 23Jun43 from Feltwell for Special Signals Duties off the Dutch coast. Shot down by a night-fighter at 0225, some 30 km W of Katwijk. Five are buried in various Dutch cemeteries, but the tail gunner, F/S livesey, has no known grave. The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
