About the memorial: Paper Bible in Leather Binding with paper Roll of Honour inside- also see the Lectern-WMO/274935 and the Roll of Honour-WMO/274937. The memorial was originally located in the previous premises of Douglas Ewart High School, Newton Stewart at OS Map Ref NX 409 657 (originally the Ewart High School). The Ewart was a boys school and after WW1 it merged with the Douglas (girls school) to become the Douglas Ewart High School. In June 1976 Douglas Ewart school moved up the road to its present premises and the memorial was moved at that time.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
