About the memorial: Three light stained glass window. The central light depicts St George with rising sun behind him, shield in his right hand and sword in his left. Dates of WW2 above held in shield by two angels. Single flower on blue field in left and right lights. Note: The Commonwealth War Graves Commission's website gives the dedicatee's surname as 'Ion', with 'Kenneth and 'Hardy' as his forenames. However, on the window, his name is given as 'Kenneth Hardy-Ion'. Relocated from Wesley Place Methodist Church, Silsden, on closure. 2010: Refurbished with a new oak frame. To be permanently fixed in to position in Central Hall, Alice Street, Keighley, West Yorkshire during November 2010. The window itself is in good condition but the existing wooden frame was rotten. The trustees of Keighley & Ilkley Voluntary and Community Action (KIVCA) agreed to pay for the refurbishment.

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
