About the memorial: A wall-mounted brass plaque to commemorated the 4 members of C Squadron Lancashire Hussars who volunteered for service in South Africa during the Second Anglo Boer War 1899-1902 and who died on active service in South Africa while serving with 32nd Company, 2nd Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

In memory of Sergeants S Swan and A Oubridge and Troopers R Collinge and W A Frost, being members of "C" Squadron Lancashire Hussars, Imperial Yeomanry, wholost their lives while on active service in the Boer War 1899-1902. This brass was affixed by the non-commissioned officers and men of "C" Squadron L.H.I.Y.
