About the memorial: Addition to family gravestone, which is a red granite pillar surmounted by an urn (the left hand memorial in the image). The Burial ground is at a road junction, at the north end of Torrisdale Bay, 2 miles north on a minor road from Borgie Bridge, which is 6 miles west of Bettyhill

If you believe your project is eligible for a grant you should complete the Pre-application enquiry form. You will need to be registered and logged in to complete this.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

You can save your Pre-application enquiry form as you go along. Once submitted War Memorials Trust will respond.

In Loving memory of HUGH MACKAY, Aird, Torrisdale, died 2nd April 1909 aged 64 years. Also his sons. WILLIAM died 6th January 1909 aged 26 years. And HUGH died 15th October 1911 aged 22 years. And JOHN who was killed at battle of Arras 9th April 1917 aged 29 years. JAMES died 10th November 1925 aged 40 years. Also ANNIE, widow of the above. On plinth: HUGH, died 26th September 1939 aged 86 years. Erected by his widow and sons.
