About the memorial: A pyramidal tablet resting on a plinth. Tablet features a wreath at top and at the foot the regimental badge - a hunting horn and the Roman numerals XC. On the upper part in high relief are carved figures of an officer to the left and a colour sergeant to the right, supporting a scroll with the inscription. In the background there is a shattered column (of Sebastapol- part of the name is shown), flanked by the colours and surmounted by the regimental emblem: the sphinx, with 'Egypt' underneath. At the foot of the figures are the Russian standards and other trophies of the war.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
