About the memorial: 'Jock' joined 22 SAS from the Parachute Regiment. He was seriously wounded behind enemy lines in Indonesia in 1965 but even went on to help the Polish delegation in 1985 and was awarded the Gold Cross of honour for his distinguished service in Beirut, Lebanon.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.

This tree is dedicated to Iain 'Jock' Thomson 1939-2004 22 Special Air Service In 1965 during operations behind enemy lines in Indonesia Jock was shot and seriously wounded. He survived and continued his SAS career. In 1985 he was awarded the Zloty Krzyz Zaslugi, the Gold Cross of Honour from the Polish Government for his distinguished service in Beirut Lenanon.
