About the memorial: This memorial bench was donated by "Lofty's" friends Pete Scholey, Colin Wallace and Johnny Partridge and sits in the Sun Room. It commemorates his service with 22 SAS Regiment during the Oman Insurgencies 1958 to 1976. Don Large also served in Korea, was captured at the battle of the Injin River and survived prison camp with two bullets still in his shoulder until he was repatriated. He then went on to serve with the SAS.
