About the memorial: Marble Tablet, set on a marble pattress. On the main tablet, there is a border pattern of leaves and stems, culminating in a circle containing a cross at each of the four corners. Lettering is a mixture of plain and ornamented Roman capitals. His place of death was Bapaume, not Bapaune as stated. Originally placed in Sparty Lea Methodist Chapel, the memorial was moved upon sale of the chapel, along with the Roll of Honour Memorial to the High Forest Community Centre, SInderhope. The memorial was unveiled in its new location in a simple ceremony on 2 November 2025
