Griffiths. An appointment with the Police Museum is needed to view the memorial. The memorial was erected in the Recreation Room of the Police Station in Chester Town Hall in 1946. In 1947 Chester City Police was amalgamated into Cheshire Constabulary, but the Station remained open in Chester Town Hall until 1966. The memorial has since been taken into the collection of the Museum of Policing in Cheshire, which is in the old cells of Warrington Police Station. N.B. Access to the Museum is by appointment only. The photo of the plaque was distrorted by the uploading process. It should be wide and thin.
