On the left a semi-naked woman leans over in front of a tombstone, her left arm draped over its top and holding a flaming torch; with her right hand she touches the forearm of the woman on the right who is seated with head in her hand, her elbow resting on a ledge of the tombstone. The tombstone has a central motif of a formalized laurel wreath and ornamented pediment. On the ground is a plumed helmet of roman type with lions mask headpiece, and behind it a shield. The podium has a central inscribed panel and consoles at the sides.
