About the memorial: The memorial consisted of a silver dedication plaque, am oak pulpit and a pipe organ. Following closure of the church the organ and pulpit are both believed to be lost, but the plaque was relocated. The plaque has a pattern of laurel leaves round the edge. The letters are sunk in casting, the church name is in Gothic lettering and the dedication is in sans serifs capitals. The quotation at the bottom is in sans serifs italics. The names are in 3 columns in Roman capitals with a vertical pattern dividing the columns. At the bottom right hand corner set into the border are the hallmarks. The plaque is now attached to the WW2 Board-WMO/281003

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.
