About the memorial: Roll of Honour in a glazed wooden frame. Relocated from Blyth Territorial Army Centre when it closed. The dedication is at the top. A picture of a machine gun below bears the caption "One of the six guns presented by Lady Meux to Lord Roberts/manufactured at the Elswick Ordnance Works/and manned by the Elswick Battery". To the left is a photograph of Lord Roberts VC. To the right is a photograph of Major Harvey Scott. The top left hand corner tells that the men "Enrolled in Town Hall/Newcastle/January 31st 1900".Top right hand corner states "Embarked on SS Devon/at London/April 4th 1900". The names of the officers are below the machine gun. The names of the NCO's and men are listed in four columns, under ranks, with the number to the left
