About the memorial: Marble Tablet. This Church was previously known as St Pauls, Howdon Pans, which is the address given by the IWM. However that useage was already obsolete by my 1990's Diocesan Directory, which is how I worked out where it was now and why it has been, correctly, moved by the NEWMP. This is the memorial as reported in the Shields Evening News dated 27 November 1923. However the tablet no longer exists in the Church- it has been replaced by WMO/281830 which was unveiled the following day, so there is a mystery here, but the Church has apparently been checked.
