About the memorial: Roll of Honour. Described by the NEWMP as a brass plaque in a very ornate frame. But the images make it look more like a paper or parchment Roll of Honour in the frame. This needs on site verification. It was originally in the Branch meeting room in the Foresters Hall at Heaton Road, Byker. In 1982 the branch moved to Shipley Hall, Byker, and in 1986 the memorial was donated to Tyne and Wear Museum, who later moved to the new build Discovery Centre. There it is reference Accession Number 2000.4335. Please check availability before visiting as it may not be on display at any given time.
