About the memorial: A commercially printed Roll in a glazed oak frame. The frame has a carved design of interlocking rings, with 1939 carved into the top border and 1945 at the bottom. The Roll itself has a double border of a geometric pattern around the printing, which is in black ink, apart from the initial letters of Roll and Honour, which are in red. The flags of Britain and America appear with crossed staffs either side of the Dedication. The names of those who served and returned are printed over three columns, with a section headed "Ladies" at the end of the third column. Across the top of those names, within thick black lines, are printed the names of the ten men who did not return, and whose names appear on the other two memorials in the village
