About the memorial: Composite. A series of 5 wooden boards side by side with a narrow but wide dedication board above. The organ was last reported as destroyed or broken up in 1988. Properly it should be a separate report, but if I do that someone will only join the reports up again. Previously it was in a white wooden frame with crenellated pedimented top with the school badge at top centre. The old school was closed and demolished and the new Campus built on the site. The memorial was rededicated on 11 November (Armistice Day) 2003. The Memorial only gives initials of forenames, the School Magazine (The Bedan Magazine) dated Ju;ly 1946 (page 261) and July 1947 (page 270) also gives their full forenames. It is also said that a girl from this School was saved from the wreck of The City of Benares torpedoed by the Japanese forces occupying Singapore.
