About the memorial: Brass Plaque on a wood pattress. At the top is the badge of the D.L.I. mounted separately. The plaque itself has rounded ends. Lettering is in sans serif capitals, with later Black Stone re-dedication plaque. This was originally installed because it was not possible to grant his parent's wishes for his name to be added to the village war memorial- WMO/113208. In 2007 a new tablet was provided in the Church- WMO/283920- it is not known if it replaced this plaque or supplemented it.

Grants to support the repair and conservation of war memorials are available from the charity War Memorials Trust if it has raised funds. Support is focused on war memorials in Very bad or Poor condition or where there is a serious Concern.

The Pre-application enquiry form is a series of questions to see if your project is eligible. If it is, you will need to provide further details and submit current colour photographs of the war memorial in either a png, gif, jpg or jpeg format.
