About the memorial: WW1 memorial is a rectangular white marble tablet mounted on to a grey marble backboard with nowy head. Within this head is a white laurel wreath carved in relief. The inscription is in black capital lettering. Below is the WW2 memorial, a rectangular brass plaque with incised inscription in capital lettering. The WW2 memorial is clearly a continuation so the whole counts as one. Unfortunately the photos on the IWM Register of the two together and of the WW2 plaque would not open.
